Electrolysis

Electrolysis is considered the oldest permanent hair reduction method. It can treat all hair types and colours. This treatment uses heat energy that is applied to the individual hairs on the face or body, destroying the germinativum cells also known as the growth center or hair follicle.

During the treatment, the electrologist inserts a fine probe into each hair follicle of the treatment area and a few seconds after the heat energy is released the hair should no longer be attached to the body and is removed with tweezers. This process is repeated on each hair found in the treatment area and will require additional treatments every few weeks. Much like Laser Hair Removal, you should expect gradual improvements throughout your sessions seeing the hair reduce in thickness and appear lighter before eventually never returning.

Electrolysis treatments can be performed on any part from the face to the body where hair growth may not be desired. The most common treatment areas are the face, upper lip, chin, eyebrows, bikini line, breasts, areola, abdomen, and legs.
